Adam Sandler and Six More Actors Immune to Bad Reviews

The last several Adam Sandler movies have been torn apart by critics -- but that hasn't stopped them from making boatloads of cash. For example, 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry' and 'Click,' two films that were critically panned, grossed $186 million and $237 million, respectively. Apparently, Sandler's box office appeal is immune to negativity, something that the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed in their new Teflon Actor Awards: 6 Stars Immune to Bad Reviews. So other than Sandler, who else made the list? First up is Jennifer Aniston, who got the Teflon Award for "America's Sweetheart." According to THR, "What's fascinating is how little quality matters to [Aniston's] drawing power. 'Marley & Me' and 'Horrible Bosses' were as good as 'Just Go With It' was bad -- 'If they were showing this on an airplane, I'd ask for a parachute,' wrote Richard Roeper -- and they all grossed more than $100 million." Ashton Kutcher got the "Mr. Consistency Award," since all of his movies have received negative reviews yet still managed to gross money. Katherine Heigl, meanwhile, received the "Rom-Com Queen Award" (obviously). You can check out the entire list over on THR.
