Lifetime moves onto 'Ice Moms'

Lifetime's success with unscripted series "Dance Moms" has spurred the femme-centric cabler to build up a real possibility show about pint-sized figure skaters and competitive matrons titled "Ice Moms." The skein has been produced by Lifetime and Collins Avenue, the second run by Shaun Collins, professional producer of the&E's "Billy the Exterminator" and new Animal Planet show "American Stuffers." "Dance Moms" acquired continuously within the rankings throughout its first season this past year the show produced both popularity of its quality and critique because of its subject material, as commentators considered the recognition of shows about kids under parental pressure like "Moms" and "Small children and Tiaras." Lifetime lately greenlit series spinoff "Dance Moms: Miami" for six episodes. "Dance Moms" may be the youngest-skewing Lifetime program having a median chronilogical age of about 37.
